Exporting Accessible PDFs

How to Export Accessible PDFs From Your Own Collection

FromThePage allows you to export accessible PDFs for every work in a collection. You can choose which version of the transcript to include and, if applicable, add a warning when AI-generated transcripts are used.

  1. Go to the Export tab in your collection.
  2. Select “Export all works.”
  3. Choose your export settings.
    • Keep Work folders enabled if you want the exported files organized into folders by work.
    • Under Accessible PDF, select One file per work.
    • Choose which transcripts to include:
      • Only human-edited transcripts — exports only transcripts that have been reviewed and edited by a human.
      • Human-edited transcripts if available. Otherwise, use AI drafts — uses the human-edited transcript when one is available and falls back to the AI draft when it is not.
  4. Add an AI warning, if needed.
If you are using AI drafts as a fallback, you can choose to prepend a warning to the PDF indicating that the transcript was generated by AI.
  5. Start the export.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Start the export.

Creating accessible PDFs can take some time, especially for larger collections, because FromThePage generates a PDF for each work.

You can refresh the export page to check the progress. Once the export is complete, click Download to download a ZIP file containing the PDFs for the works in your collection.

    • Human-edited transcripts when available. Otherwise, use AI drafts
  5. If AI drafts may be included, choose whether to prepend a warning indicating that the transcript was generated by AI.
  6. Click Download.

The accessible PDF will be generated and downloaded directly through your browser.
